Letter from the secretariat
Dear Delegates, Parents, and Faculty Advisors,
Welcome to the JBCN Oshiwara MUN 2024!
I, Priyansh Sata, the Secretary General of the JBCN Oshiwara MUN feel immensely honoured to welcome you to the second edition of our conference that aims to unite international citizens who have the potential to help humanity get ahead of global catastrophes and become true changemakers.
On behalf of the entire secretariat, I can proudly say that it’s a true privilege to host future leaders of the world and indulge ourselves in dialogue and discussion to potentially draft resolutions to solve global fiascos along the lines of political differences, religious prejudices, financial inequality, and environmental disasters. Hence, our theme of World 2024: War of Ideologies is one that directly correlates to the global landscape that we see ourselves in, where we aren’t just divided by borders, but rather, divided by fragile egos that fail to differentiate between diplomatic values and authoritarianism.
In light of the rising tensions we see in the global community, the delegates at this conference have the unique opportunity to fight for social justice and become an indispensable part of the history of our carefully crafted agendas. Each agenda revolves around a global conflict that requires immediate attention, thus allowing delegates to explore our modern geopolitics and encourage them to analyze the paradigm shift our world has undergone in recent years.
With eight committees in our midst this year, JBCN Oshiwara MUN 2024 offers delegates a plethora of options to explore their debating skills, hone their talent, and forge bonds that last beyond the duration of the conference.
In my four years in the world of Model UN, there has been no greater honour than to serve as the Secretary General of the JBCN Oshiwara MUN and pave the path of legacy for this incredible institution.
I hope to see you at the conference! Until then, keep MUNning!
Best regards,
Priyansh Sata,
Secretary-General
JBCN Oshiwara MUN
